Sorry, don’t know.
Coming to this late, with browser issues - in any event…
You , sir, are doing some interesting stuff. Good. And playing with ply orientation to tune flex, all the better. Makes my day, it does.
And your test pilots are as good as they get, your feedback should be valuable.
Now, if I may, a small suggestion: look up the works of Terry Hendricks, Sc. D., also known ( on the alt.surfing newsgroup) as sdybchguy and ( here) as MTB. He took the flex kneeboard concept places beyond what GG did. If you’re fortunate ( as I was) Dr. Hendricks might find the time to give you a few suggestions - he’s a very kind man.
Best regards
doc…
Good going loftsum (Neal?).
My guess is the’re being surfed at Oilys in the 'Gong and Shoalhaven. Both 'Bert and Sparrer are world champs, so the road test of these machines will be intense. There may be some pics on legless.tv (just type legless.tv into your browser)
Just love this stuff Greenhough design rebirth, full detailed thread step by step. Gets me motivated to build my own creation.
Thanks for posting!
Where can I get a template of the Velo spoon? I was thinking on building a similar board like the arc tail from Mandala.

This site http://flexspoon.com/building-a-flexspoon/how-to-build-a-flexspoon has a ton of info on it. The particular page linked has detailed verbal instruction on drawing your own including dimensions which you can adjust as needed.
Thank you DrStrange
Hi Dr Strange
I was starting to insert the drawing instructions in the AKU shaper as it was described in the site for the 5’6’’ spoon, but the first point (tail corner 9’’ at 3.5’‘) it’s wider than the second (8 3/4 at 6’'). is this correct or am I seeing something wrong?
Thank you
Uh-oh, flexspoon site dwon… Don’t know but likely an error in there. Tail is smooth, fairly straight curve going back. Go here http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mVGyUAOOOLU/TrRJuwGDaOI/AAAAAAAABws/bK5HqjfbS2I/s1600/Greenough_spoon.jpg and you can eyeball the orginal Rincon ripper. Modify as needed/desired but that is the basic planshape, an original stubby.
