Busted board repair

My girlfriend caught a pretty big one on the head the other day and broke her board. It’s not really broken into two pieces but the stringer’s got a crack and the glass on the bottom is busted. The deck is still fine and the board is not bend (the rocker is still OK).

It is the first board I shaped for her and she loves it so I really want to fix it. With the big delamination on the bottom I am not too sure how to approach it.

Should I patch up the delaminated part first and then continue with a regular broken board repair job (wrap fibreglass around the crack) or would you rather do both in one go (i.e. a big strip of fibreglass for the delam and a smaller one for the crack in one lamination).

Thanks for you help Z

comments anyone?

If the rails are broken, the board is snapped, believe me.

I’d take it as if the board was a 2 piece already glued up.

-peel loosen fibreglass

-sand hotcoats

-glass 2 fibreglass layers on each side

-hotcoat

-sand

Just this could help:
