Far out you Americanski’s are classic. You just get an idea that you want to write a book about one of surfings famous geezers and then think you can just go and contact their families via a message board. I would imagine that with the market in geezers and their related flotsam the way it is nowadays that most of the old boys have already got thier signature down with the usual suspects. Quik started looking after the pre-geezer generation in the last few years. Its neatly packaged in a series of contests and Silver edition clothing ranges. When the bio’ from all those boys start pushing through in the next few years Quik will be banking. They know that once the current generation of geezers has gone and had their version of events published that those in the pre-geezer generation, who are being wined and dined will sign with Quiksilver publishing. Unfortunately for the independent writer this means that with all the alpa geezers already pre-signed to write future life stories, you will have to focus on the B and C grade surfers who were there in the 60s but held onto the coat tails of the alpha geezer.
WHAT EVER- ‘QUICK’ SUX.
