just got it …
was hell busy this week , plus had server problems and emails werent coming in , so i wasnt getting emailed about pms coming in …
i will answer your question in the open as it will also give the same answer to a number of sway regulars wanting to know the deal …
as it stands now were fully booked with orders well into next year , probably easter …
that is even with increased production …
nev thru a spanner into the works by jumping on a few boards in public and loaning a few to a couple of pros , now the word is out …
my previous back log from west oz and existing customers around the place should be clear within 4 months , along side those we have to run what nev has racked up , most of his being for media , pros and a lot of old friends suddenly calling in favours from the past …
so at this stage we still havent made a firm decision on when we can make them available to the public , march or april have been thrown around loosely …
there will be a range of demo boards that will hopefully make it to the shop floor …
weve got a few unfinished , factory seconds and boards that had last minute changes made that should end up as demos to …
as embarrised as i am about it we dont have any boards for sale right now and still alot of angry but patient customers who have already signed up …
we are producing now , but dont expect production to be at peak for our current location till late january …
my only advice at this stage is order now and expect at least 5 months on the list or wait till early feb for a more precise finish date which may or not be further away still …
we also dont have all our systems completly in place yet either .
this is because of still needing a few more qualified crew and getting them up to speed and waiting on a few pieces of equipment to be delivered …
this is estimated to take to the end of jan to smoothe out …
also apologies to alot of my regulars , i know ive let down a lot of crew this year , but once things are set youll get the best service out of me ever …

I would like to order now and get on the list. But last time I rang Nev they said no can do, not taking any more orders.

ok i will bring up this subject first thing monday …
in the past ive just said to previous customers it would take a year , for the crew at nevs to say that, would just freak them out , so the call was made to not take orders till it came down to a realistic waiting period , but i dont know if it will ever come down to a realistic waiting period …
we then made the suggestion to be selective about who we would sell to , limiting to existing customers , professional and competition surfers , media related crew and mates …
i thought it was bad in sleepy west oz ??
having to much work to handle …
but now were all having mate issues …
as the story below illustrates …

so making the short list is making us feel like mud , nev has so many friends wanting to call there favours in now , its ridiculous …i will make the suggestion to let a certain number out each week for crew off the street and see if i can give a more definative answer …
either that or i purposely make a few mistakes on orders so they get turned into shop stock boards ??
and i let you know what time they will end up in the showroom so your in the right place at the right time …
i have to laugh , it reminded me of the time a guy back in west oz tried to get his board quicker by telling me he only had 6 months to live and if i took to long he couldnt guarantee he would be around to pick it up and pay for it …
my wife suggested he get a doctors certificate to verify his claims …
anyway thomo , i will ask questions monday and hopefully have some sort of official answer …

Like I said in my pm, I don’t want to put any extra pressure on. But I just thought it was strange that the first time I spoke to the Nev crew they said no worries, when your ready to order just come in and do it. Then when I tried they said sorry, not taking orders.
