Can anyone tell me how to safely remove brush housings from planer body? I tried a hydraulic press with no avail… Hopefully some of the masters can help me .cheers Petey
Pete may eventually see this and chime in. What’s the reason for taking them out? I’ll take a look at mine tonite and let you know what I think.
Pete always says not to remove the brush holders if possible because it’s very difficult to realign them.
Thanks Gene, I sent him a PM how to do it. Hard to remove, worse going back in and aligning, easy to damage. If they’re put in wrong the brushes will arc and eventually kill the motor.
