can i use fiberglass cloth

with epoxy resin? i have a point blanks and i was doing some major work to her when running out of the cloth that came with the epoxy fix kit. i didnt buy too much of any of the epoxy materials because i dont do epoxy repairs as cosistently as i do with fiberglass. i ran out of the cloth that came with the kit and didnt know what to do because it was while i was applying the resin, so i cut up some fiberglass cloth and used it. they look exactly the same, and it absorbed the resin the same, so i figured it was all right.

am i wrong? will it be all right in the morning?

its the same fiberglass. epoxy is the resin, the other kind of resin is called polyester.

Fiberglass fabrics have a finish applied to them after weaving and cleaning that helps the resin bond to the fiber bundles. The two most common finishes are Volan and Silane, both of which are compatible with epoxy resins as well as polyesters.
