i nkow manuel appears here often and i will probably be sending off an e-mail to him but i hope soeone who owns one will reply to this. i am really really heavily considering buying one of these master pieces once i get my taxes returned. i love the idea of having a fish with removable fins so i can take it with me on travels and such. my two big questions are – can you replace the canard quad fins with a set of thrusters and sidebites for a traditional quad set-up? and also, i love my fish because i can kneeride it when it gets good and hollow, how do these canard quads kneeride?

I have a fish just like yours I did in '97, which I dubbed the “Quish”. One of my all time favorite boards, although a bit beat up now.
It is my all time favourite too (so far). Great down the line speed and very loose.

too bad about the surfermag mess up, i enjoyed pm ing you every once in a while cause you are one fo the few who would follow along with my ideas. the fins you refer to all fell off on a headhigh day, all but one and all at the same time, it resulted ina really really good fall though. i’ve fallen inlove with my fish and really want one done professionally by manuel, hope to have it for some traveling. Maybe ill retrofit my old fish with some wood ones of my own for a try out.

thats good to hear about your stubbie, yours will be in the water way way before mine. i went over to my friends house ot check up on it, and it turns out he is out at school from 5 am to 8pm then on weekends has a bunch of water polo tournaments. so i told him no worries, i got two other boards to shape and glass, so he can take his time.
Been wondering what happened to you on the other BB, Chip! Good to see you’re still around!
