cant/toed fins vs.not

According to previous posts, cant/toed fins make a board more maneuverable and  fins that are placed parallel to the stringer can make a board track. Are there any positive effects of non-cant/toed side fins can have? In about 1982 I owned my first tri fin with parallel fins and it worked real good.

I tried an eggy twin keel with no toe. Sucked, I ended up re setting the fin boxes. Went better

hi there Tony !

would you have a shot of that board , by any chance , please ? [I realise it IS a long time ago , now , but just hoping that you are one [of us] who photographs every board you have [not too many do , I guess ?]

  it sounds interesting ...

my mate Stuey's 'widowmaker' features non-canted / non-toed side fins . Funny enough , he didn't ask for that , but the fin guy did it for him , and , guess WHAT  ?

  he LOVES it !

"great off the bottom , and in the TUBE !"  was his comment [stu spends a LOT of his time in the tube , so I'm guessing , after his wedding day has gone , he will be hitting "spots further north" with it soon .

[ Last I heard , he was trying [hard] to convince his fiancee that a honeymoon in the desert would be romantic ....]
