carbon rails with wood veneer deck/bottom

Hi all,

 

I'm currently working on a carbon railed / wood veneer deck/bottom board.  Does anybody here have any insight on the order to attach the carbon vs veneer?  I was thinking that the veneer should be bagged on first then taped off and then the carbon rails.  Is there any benefit to doing it with the rails first?
