carvestik bliss..

Merry christmas all. got my carveboard surfstik today and its awesome! already my calves, hams, gluts, legs in general are killin me. feels so much like surfing i would recomend anyone who thinks riding an endless asphalt wave sounds appealing, i cant get over this thing.

                                                                                        l8r on, Brandon

is the only difference between the carveboard and the carvestick the size? or are there any others differences? I really want to get one.

Nice,I got a carvestik for Christmas also and I LOVE IT! It carves like a surf/snowboard and just is more fun than a barrel of monkey’s, talk about perma-grin and feeling like I was a 15 again. I will just go out for a wiggle sometimes that is what I call it, Wigglin’. Wiggle wiggle wiggle. HE HE HE.

Hello fellow carveboarders,

I’ve had my carvestik for a year now and it is GREAT! I live in NH one hour from the beach – so nothing beats being able to walk out the front door and carve down the street whenever I want. Use wristguards – it’s a very stable platform but if you hit sand or big crud you can slide.

There are a lot of differences between the original carveboard and the carvestik – their website explains it pretty clearly.

yah i went to their website i just dont understand the difference is it only the size and the type of wheels?

Got myself a carve board last summer month ago, not sure if its the same thing as your cave stick but sound like it, 5ft landyatch fiberflex beck, heavy trucks sprung on a barrel and large 80m kripto wheels, I take it down the old school concrete park and it’s as close to the feel I’ve ever got on dry land, I love doing drop knee turns holding the rail, hand plants and lay backs. when I’m carving round a large bank i drag my hand along the face and imagine it’s a wave. I have loads of fun but the kids doing their tech tricks don,t really know what to make of it, don’t think I’ll ever go back to a reg small skate board now.

the difference is the carveboard is a longer deck w/ inflatable wheels and u need a hill 2 use that sucker. a carvestik is a shorter board w 80mm wheels they dont come w/ 70’s ne more and is more for all around.

The carve stik is about the same size as a sector nine or any other long board out there. It was invented by Joe and Brad Gerlach. (Joe is the Father) The carve stik works well on any smooth surface but was designed for skate park bowls. Joe was creating a specially designed skate park for the stik. If you really want to get a killer workout in and drastically improve thepower, fluidity, and grace of your surfing try taking it to a large bowl or pool. It will take a while to master but once there it is awesome. The desired bowl/pool should have large smooth and gradual radius’. Sharp corners or tight radius’ will probably end in injury. Carve on!
