Channel disaster

Depressing bodge up. Channels have ended up a as ravines. One of those situations where, to even it out, you sand more from the left side, then more from the right, then more from the left, etc resulting in this - and the final result is left channel 1/2" further out than the right. And it started off so well, did this from scratch with blocks of EPS got it perfectly symmetrical until deciding to experiment with channels. I did think about filling both channels with Polyfilla/spackle and just leaving the bottom flat but that’ll probably add a shed load of weight. Or using the scrap bits of EPS to fill these up. What do you people reckon? Salvage or scrap? Cheers

Even them up, glass it and DEFINITELY RIDE IT! Looks sweet!

Ride it for sure. Your mistake might result in a magic board. You never know!

Yeah I don’t think minor variations in the channels (asymmetry) is gonna render them useless, glass it up and ride da bugga, quit worrying so much about the small stuff I think you’d be surprised how many boards have asymmetrical flaws if you really started measuring.

…hello bozo, looking very salvable, at least on that photo; the problem could be in the are where the channels meet the nose, so shape there until you can perceive a soft transition. Then round a bit all the channels edges, if not the glass will be a nightmare.
