i think its great, but you’re asking for opinions, thoughts, criticisms right? why not draw a few, play around with hte base idea of it… I think hand drawing hte lettering of your name and leaving the interior of hte lettering blank (not filled in) sounds like a great idea

I like the surfer… if you’re into “cute,” you nailed “cute”… I say take the surfer out, remove him… add another upward waveface line in his place…the label will be more subtle and classic imo

Play around with the placement of your name… try on the bottom, again, more subtle… maybe right under the crashing white water somehow… maybe smaller wrapped around the sun’s arch

you’ve done great, but like anything it’s your first swing…and these are just thoughts and ideas… it has great potentail to be worked into something with a totally different vibe to it for your next board

i’d leave it like that!

i love the contrast between the letters and the wave, i think they stand out just right. trying to visualise it with letters done in the same style as the rest of it just makes it look weak and out of place.

i hope im making sense here!

after its been h-coated

and sanded before the gloss

squiggles and curly q’s

a flying fish jumping out of a wave

a flower in the o an eye in the s

haveing fun and making

every board identifiably

diffrent is a moral imperative
