Someone has been Making those and selling on eBay for a couple of years now. $100.00 seems like a lot of money for an extenuation.  Pros seem to favor the shorter base for doing short boards.  There are lots of people here that have found skil 100 for a lot less then $200.00 Keep checking Craigslist. I have two and did not pay more then $50.00 for either.

artz outdated technology to me is pointless to invest in. If you can find a skil for that price I’d sell it on ebay.

The irony is the planer you chose as a base is outdated and discontinued as well.

Grant it you said that  you could do one for other planers as well.

The price is kind of out there though IMO.
