I’d appreciate some advice on fin choice. At the following link are my tired old boards. http://www.geocities.com/goodsticks4sale/ The second one from the top - the 9’ Bohemian - is the one I’d like to turn into a single fin. I surf it with my feet pretty well planted on the back half - no noseriding on this one. I use this board in winter waves up to 10’. How do I choose the right fin? I like the idea of the Tru Ames Norm Flex or Greenough for no reason other than Greenoughs name and the look of the flex. Would either combine correctly with the board? What size? I can’t afford to make many $50 to $60 fin mistakes. Thanks.

There so many options it’s hard to pin it down in text, but we can give it a go. you can reach me at I’m in Santa Cruz. Where are you located? I think the board has potential as a single. That Zinger looks like a very interesting board. How does it ride with that fin setup? I’ve never seen that on a board of that size.
That Zinger looks like a very interesting board. How does it ride with > that fin setup? I’ve never seen that on a board of that size. It’s a very fun board. I bought it from a friend who, at the time, probably weighted 30 - 40 lbs more than me and he rode it a lot at big Mitchell’s Cove. I was going to trade it for a more traditional 10’ single fin but decided the Zinger was too cool. It needs a wave with a little size/juice to get water going through the channels and the concept to really work. It’s a little squirrely in slow waves and it doesn’t work too well at my favorite mini-left because the turns are a little drawn-out. I got the board with a whole bunch of rail to rail stress fractures from the nose to halfway back. The dark line you see in the picture is a hi density foam stringer that got retro-installed and the bottom got re-sanded and re-glossed. My main objection to it is I think its ugly.
