christian Fletcher board questions

hey guys just wanted to hear some opions on what this christian fletcher board would be worth as I am getting ready to put it on the market but have no idea what is is truely worth and would not want to get ripped off on the price when selling. I am NOT trying to sell it on this fourm just wanted a few opions and it is very hard to find a webpage were I can ask people what they think its vaule is who are know about surfboards. anyway here are a few pictures (sorry for the terrible flip phone pictures) it has a few minor dings and a little chip on the nose and the photos do not really look good at all it looks better in person . Any thoughts on how much I can get for this? any help would be great thanks!

I dunno, like a lot of people here I build my own surfboards, don’t generally purchase used boards, but I have.  So if its just a run-of-the-mill shortboard in decent shape, I’ll guess that you could get anywhere from $125 - $200, in used condition.

Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful, have you checked Craigslist and ebay to see what comparable models are selling for?

Pretty worthless now.  Perhaps in 20 years when my generation begins to want to buy back memories of our youth it will be worth some money.

$25 maybe $50

That board is highly desirable and will be worth more in the not too distant future; it was shaped by Chris McElroy who was at that time considered one of the very best in the world.  It looks as if it was actually CF’s board by the stickers; he was an early innovator in what has become modern progressive surfing, and Kelly readily admits this also.  I say put it to the side and let it age a few years and see.  I loved that time and its nice to call McElroy one of my friends, and for me to have shaped quite a few boards for Christian over the years.

There were loads of those boards made. The odds of it being on of CF’s actual boards are slim.

sounds like mako will give you top dollar, eh?

If you gave it to me I’d strip the glass off of it and use it for planer practice and testing fin box templates.  ;^)

thanks for the responeses. I was offered a pretty decent amount for it on craigslist so I might just have to sell it soon as I plan on moving at the end of the year anyway. Anyone else who thinks this might be worth a decent amount of money would love to hear your thoughts on a price but realize these pictures are terrible and it looks better in person. I know this is a rare board and has to be worth a decent chunk of change just from the offer I have already. thanks guys!

Is the offer from a Nigerian princess?

(just kidding - but be careful Craigslist has more crooks than congress!)

If you have got a decent offer and need the money, take it.  Getto is right, and mako doesn’t know fark about lams from back in the day.  Those arn’t stickers!!!  I have a few of the Big BodyGlove lams from when I was sponsored and any of those lams were guarded like gold…  The AstroDeck lam was the same, usually reserved for team riders or one of Herbies buds…  Just my 2c…

cool I think I will hold out a little longer and see what I can get for it before I move. I know it should be worth a good amount you dont see them for sale ever and as mentioned was shaped by one of the best. any other info or opinions are welcome thanks

I would say it’s a good time to sell it. CF draws some publicity lately. RVCA sports this particular artwork on caps and shirts. In addition I recently bought a board by T Patterson called " the flying saucer". It’s a spinoff of a board made for aerials, made on CF’s request.

anybody else notice the irony with the sticky bumps tailpad?
