My girls wanted to make these for their friends for Christmas. I cut them out from 3 ply pine.
They are painting on one side and leaving the other with just the logo on it. When they have finished I will give them a coat of epoxy and then they will put some strawberry wax on them “so it smells nice”
Could also be a good gimmick as a promotional item for businesses in the industry.
Great idea Kate…hers is the one with the dolphin on it…on the right…
Are you guys loosing your minds? Anyway…here is an idea for Xmas.Take your scrap foam dust and bag it up with a cool ribbon and sell it as “Christmas Snow”.You can also take wadded up masking tape balls and hang em on the tree.Paint em gold or silver.Happy Holidays. RB

yep, 'loosing ’ our minds all the time… so our boards will follow !!
… stay loose, hang loose, surf loose ! ‘chip’
the foamdust christmas snow idea sounds good…
you could even make yummy ones… don’t forget to sprinkle liberally with coconut, resin , brown tint , and M.EK.P…keeps the kiddies REAL quiet over christmas…
and the new year…
and, in fact , for MANY,MANY years …
( 'umour…is that still illegal in seppyland , then ? )
Howzit Hicksy, We have a guy here who's been making basically the same ones and they are a pretty good sell. I know Kai Kanes surf shop carries them and I'll see if I can get a picture to show you. Aloha,Kokua
Yo Kokua. You know that big mound of resin you have under your glass stands with all the layers of color?Well (and this is true) if you break the resin up and put it in one of those rock tumbling drums that the lapidery guys use it comes out looking like gemstones. There was a girl down in Florida making jewlery out of the stuff and it looked good.Heck you could sell em to the Yokels on ebay and get rich. RB
Howzit Mr. Clean, You mean like how we used to make roach clips. Here’s another one, you know the plastic fiberglass holders that are in the ends of the rolls in the box. You can stack them since they fit into each other, than when you have extra pigmented resin in the bucket just pour it over the stack (about 20 in the stack). It’ll kinda look like candle drips after enough of them you can turn it into a lamp base. I gaive all of my ends to BASA since he does a lot of pigment work, they lokk pretty far out when done and you’re recycling at the same time. One years I took all the CD disks I screwed up and hung them on the tree for decorations. We called it our high tech tree and since the disks are shiney they reflect the lights which makes for an unreal effect. Aloha, Kokua
