hey guys, is there a clark foam factory in florida? the shipping is so expensive i was hoping to just pick up some blanks from their factory but i dont know where it is. their website says they r located in europe…but i thought they had factories in the US. THANKS!
p.s is there any cool shapers down here in south florida who wouldnt mind a young surfer checking out their shaping setup and maybe watch some get done?

when i started to learn how to shpae i just went to a bunch of shapers and asked if they would mentor me. i ran into a lot of no’s but if you dont give up you will eventually find some one will give you a hand. I would tell you to talk to my mentor Robert strickland but he died a few years back in a drowning accident.
your just going to have get out there and ask people, thats what everyone is going to tell you.

have the number when you try and go find the foam its in an industrail park and all the buildings look the same or print it out on map quest or soemthing. the first time i went there i get pretty turn around
Get the directions from Yahoo maps and you should be fine. You’ll turn onto the industrail park road from the main road. You will see a Clark Foam sign with other business signs on the main road just before you turn onto their road. They are on the right side of the road. The builds do all look the same, but they are about 3/4 way down on right. You also want to bring cash with you. They don’t take checks, unless you have a business account with them and they don’t take any credit cards either. Unless they changes thing around from the last time i was there. Very nice guys down there. I always call ahead before i drive down to make sure they have what i want and get a total for all the blanks i want. Makes it easier if you have to replace a blank they might not have instock. Good luck, hope you find the place and don’t get lost. I passed it the first time down.

anybody heard of a place …rainbow boards,blanks …something in fla. ive heard a few things about clark blanks in fla. its not a factory ,
are you referring to Rainbow Distributing (http://www.rdistributing.com)?? they stock Rainbow Fin Co. fins and all kinds of other stuff.
