Clark Foam for sale...

Just curious if anyone is interested in puchasing some or all of my collection of Clark blanks. I have about 20 or so, ranging from 6’3"H to 10’1"Y. I can be reached at 805 712 1334 or barkydog1@aol.com.

I’ll give you $20.00 bucks a blank. What rocker is in them? A blank is almost useless without the correct rocker glued into them.

You know that already I’m sure.

As time goes on they will become relics. Store them for about 20 more years when they will have more value if it’s worth the Storage fees?

Yeah, uh, thanks but I think I would just shape them for $20 a blank.

not to sound ahh like a dick or something but you can get same quality foam or better for the same prices clark charged for what you are selling . you should just put it out there with how much you would like for the blanks you have. and the guys who want them will let you know.

Fools Gold

I’m quite familiar with the new foams. This is my whole motivation for selling my Clark blanks. My intention is to sell them for as much or more than I paid for them, otherwise I would just keep them, as I said. If you’re not interested, then you’re not interested.

B-Dog.

Right on…don’t lose money on them.

Yes some people have attitude about Clark’s stuff.

For the record…Clark Foam was damn good.

Some guyz bad rapped Clark because they wanted more out of him than he was willing to do.

Clark serviced big and small accounts fairly and had a consistently good product.

Clark was a great ‘closet writer’ that let us in on stuff they were dealing with.

No other blank company will ever be as legendary as Clark Foam. His track record is woithout rivals and it will probably take 50 to 100 years to come close.

Someone should be so lucky to be that successful.

Right on. You are right about Clark, all the way. He was a tyrant of a businessman, but he provided us with the best service possible (by far) and a fantastic, consistent product. It is a much healthier (no pun intended) surfboard industry environment with minds more open to new materials and processes now, however, and I’m happy to sell my “relics” if someone is interested.

B doggie…yes, I don’t dispute he was a savvy and shrewd businessman…but when I think of tyranny, I think of the high percentage of tyrannical corporations that are fleecing all of us with endless hidden costs and complex schemes.

I used to be a cash and carry guy and life was so simple. The scale was easier to balance…and I’m not even a libra. If things slowed down and orders weren’t coming in, I merely cut back spending…never ever used a credit card. Of course I was younger and didn’t have a wife, a son, a dog…but I was really happy, had plenty of time to surf, go on adventures and sleep at night.

Then life got complicated. It is difficult to simplify your life but extremely easy to complicate it…funny (and sad) how that works.

I’m ready to leave now…

Well put, my friend.

Barkydog:

I’m sorry if I came off the wrong way. Clark did make great foam. Your blanks are most likely really good.

You should get at least $40.00 for you 63H’s if the rockers are close. I still think that they will be worth more with time.

No hard feeling!
