i’m thinking of selling my hitachi(clark modified) planer. it’s been used like twice. i hate the thing. it doesn’t have sealed bearings. i’m wondering how much i should ask…or…anyone in socal thats interested make an offer. i may put it in the classifieds, but wanted to hear what folks think its worth…

why do you hate it? the cutting? speed?
i don’t like the feel of the adjustment knob. i’m not the most experienced shaper but it just feels cheap and inexact. like buying a new car only to find it has the power steering of a 72 cadillac. i want a planer that allows free adjustment like the clark hitachi and also allows depth’s to be set. i don’t think theres anything out there like that(is there?) but i just don’t use the hitachi. i was thinking 100$…
