clark supergreen?

Is the clark supergreen a good blank? I know clark in general was nice blanks but im not familiar with the supergreen. Whats the details on those? I found a 6'6"x21 blank forsale and im thinking about picking it up. Is it still good to use since clark went out 5 years ago?

Supergreen were the only Clark blanks I used (building longboards mainly, the supergreen density was much more appropriate than the superblue and the boards I made with those lasted much longer and dented less). Rather a rare density in a 6’6" blank, though… Go for it, anyway. Your board will weigh a few ounces more and be much stronger.

wont be to heavy for a performance shortboard?

According to the latest Clark Foam catalog I have (October 2004), Supergreen was listed as the strongest/heaviest of all 4 current densities, being:

  • 5% heavier than Superblue

  • 9.5 % heavier than the new Superlight

  • 12 % heavier than Ultralight
