Clean sanded areas before glassing

Hello there,

I’m getting into my first ding repair and I was wondering how can I clean the freshly sanded areas full of that thin powder before glassing.

I’ve filled my repair with Q-cell filler and sanded it back down the board’s original shape, now I have that white sanded powder everywhere and I feel the resin won’t really bond with that all around…

I’ve done some research and read that acetone or any flammable liquid would do it?

What should I use? I really don’t want to fuck this up

Use a vacuum cleaner with a new brush attachment first.

I work with epoxy. I sand and wipe with a clean cloth, that’s it. If there is still a very thin film after the wipe down, I don’t worry about it, its never been a problem. Just be careful not to touch with bare hands.

I just sand and blow it with a compressor. If you don’t have that, take a deep breath (away from dust) and give it a good blast.
