I can’t decide on which surfboard brand to make a purchase.
well you could start with a brain?
Neverheard of that brand. Where they made?
I picked up a Roberts White Diamond this summer and I absolutely love it, just a great board. Robert’s a real down to earth guy and took the time to talk with me a lot to figure out what dims would be good for me and my conditions. Communication was great with emails and phone calls. From what I hear everyone raves about his shapes.
That being said Mike D. is very kind and forthcoming on here with helping noobs like me to understand shaping a little better. Have never heard a bad word about a Coil, again rave reviews from everybody. Read through the Coil thread is you have and extra month or so.
Don’t think you can go wrong with either. Coil uses a different build technology than a regular poly board that I’m trying to understand.
Not a big fan of the Roberts glass job. I had two, and they both had sanding into the weave. But they are also about $200 less than a Coil, so you get what you pay for.
I agree with JohnnyK3. Robert is a nice guy. Mike also seems cool here on Sways, but never met him.
+1
question makes no sense
Both are master shaper.
Coil is an epoxy hightech build to keep is positive flex for long time.
If you want to compare, take a roberts in hydroflex that’s a flexible durable build too.
Both are EPS/Epoxy/glass vacuum bag tech with secret build inside.
Sorry for my frenglish

It's not about which Brand is better.
It's about building your own surfboard. Your "purchase" will be at the local supplier.......
...or you could buy a Brand name board at Costco...........for less.......

Stingray, which Costco has the better boards?
You said that twice. What brands does costo sell?
board choice should be based on what design you want ( or need ), and the shaper that can best create that for you, also the quality of the board and the service from the shaper ( which will include discussing what design and dimensions will best suit your surfing skill level, waves surfed etc ), it shouldnt be made on a brand name…( unless the brand name has a good reputation for the before mentioned stuff )
Best user name and avatar. I don’t understand the question. Mike

I thought huie was pretty clear about what he meant. He's seen change close-up before. I think he recognizes it now.
