Cold Beers and Block Planes

It was a hot evening last night. I was in my lock up garage (now my shaping bay) and I was beavering away sanding and shaping and learning. I put a fresh blade in the little japanese block plane I bought, and began to take the stringer down. How satisfying is it, to be using quality sharp tools? I was just about finished when my neighbour popped in with icy cold beers. What better way to finish the evening.

peaman - if you’re one of the UK guys you’re not going to get this…but this is a good idea for those budweiser beer ‘great american hero’ radio ads. i can hear it now; “mr. block plane pushing shaper…!” this bud’s for you.>>> It was a hot evening last night.
