cold up here in the NW

Time to bail, work decades over, precious hike-in spot finally on the radar…

Commutes from the former sleepy coastal town now doubled, local housing new stock market…

This is my paradise, used to say, would take a SWAT team to get me outta here…

Interesting how aging changes things…

North?  What the f… dude, you’re closing in on 60, you’re heading in the wrong direction…

5/4, hood, boots, sometimes gloves, Cypher heated vest new best friend…

Mid winter wait, days, sometimes weeks for forces to align…

Crunch, crunch across frozen crystals coating hard packed sand…

Deep green, few feet overhead, offshores howling, bar reeling like a point…

Sunday mid morning alone, eventually two others join in the fun…

Changing in the biting offshores almost a threshhold event…

Cuppa hot, heater on, watch the now empty lineup for a while…

Then cruise home along the winding river, a steelhead breaks water near the bank…

Cold up here, the kind that keeps you second guessing, if not here where…

And then those moments happen…

Keep your eyes open, Paradise is wherever you find it…

A best of Holidays to the entire Tribe!!

Sounds like paradise to me, too, Icc.  Merry Christmas, etc. etc. to you.   Mike

Last weekend, we had some nice conditions over here

Broke my board few weeks ago and there was no room for my longboard in the car, so I had to use the NSP :frowning:
