I'm just too busy surfing....the flat water Race SUP's have the basic design you are after...you just have to adapt it to Prone....Check out Kings Paddle Sports... http://store.kingspaddlesports.com/.

It's not a surfboard......looks like fun.......

Great looking board.  Will you be taking it out for the Solana Beach race?

 

How did you feel the difficulty was shaping this board compared to a regular short board?  I have only shaped 3 boards but would love to build a prone board since new ones are all over 1k.

A bit off of the discussion…I am looking for a used board (lifeguard rescue/prone paddleboard). I need a 10’6" small volume board (for 15 year old, 5’8", 135 pounds). It can be ugly, scratched, patched…but needs to be sound. I need to get one this fall to practice for next summers competition (I can use a team board for competition, but not for practice anywhere but in our flatwater cove…competition is at roughwater beaches).

I want to compete in Nationals next year and have been told that I have a good chance at it…if I get the practice time in.
