Putting back together my compressor after a failed pressure switch then a blown rod in the pump that followed.
Now that I have bought a replacement pump and replaced the switch I am a bit vexed as my compressor expert at Industrial Tool, Costa Mesa Showed be a Compressor Just like the one I have for $500 bucks! I paid over a $1,000 for mine. This one has a brand new motor and is like brand new. I hate it when that happens. After dumping money to fix mine I could have bought this one!
16CMFs 125PSI 80GAL So many deals right now. Great for airspray and pnematic sanders. He just got it yesterday. If anybody want a great tool for cheap? This is not an ad it’s a tip!
Howzit surfding, By any chance is yours a belt driven double lunger pump type compressor? I find the best place to buy parts is from Granger and they sell the pumps or any other part. Before I bought 2 senco compressors, 1 big and 1 small I had and still have a belt driven 1 I bought second hand for $100. I have replaced reeds, pressure switch, head gasket and a few other parts all from Granger. Get one of their catalogs and you can get any part you need. Yeah it's a drag about finding the nice one for half what you paid but those things happen, some times you just need to be at the right place at the right time. I just scored a Senco finish nail gun, a Hitachi framing nail gun, a Porter Cable router with both plunge and regular cases nd Hitachi 81/2" sliding compound mitersaw all for $ 275 and they are all in great condition. The guy really needed that amount of money and was willing to sell those tools to get it. Could not believe my luck on that deal.Aloha,Kokua
It’s amazing the deals out there? What a fire sale that’s going on! One thing that I did gain was I went from 15CFM’s to 21CFM’s. Since I now share a building with Clear Water Glassing we need all the air we can get so I guess I’ll be better off in the end. However the deal I saw today would have been sweet. Like you say, “the right place at the right time!”

I have the Hitachi framing gun but paid over $300 for it. I’ve had it for 6 years and it has paid for itself many times over. All the tools you got will feed your wallet. Well done! You got a killer deal!
My compressor is TWO STAGE and belt driven.
I will look into Grainger for the parts to rebuild my compressor pump so I have a back up. Thanks!
Howzit surfding, If that is your compressor it's a nice one and at 21CFM's you are looking good for any and all applications. Not sure if Granger has Husky parts but they have always had whatever I needed and not just compressor parts. The catalog is about 5" thick.Aloha,Kokua
You don’t need Husky part’s. Sizing the motor pully with a belt from the auto parts store. The pressure switch, gauges and regulators you can get from Granger and they don’t need to be Husky parts either. The motor can be bought at any electrical wholesale and the compressor pumps can be found on line. The tank you can buy on ebay. Through all these breakdowns I had at the shop I learn how to piece together a complete air compressor. The good thing I guess I’m now less reliant on manufacturers for their over priced replacement parts. Husky wanted $800 just for the compressor pump?
When you walk into a place like Industrial Tool in Costa Mesa and they
have a Almost Brand New Compressor like mine for $500.00 It makes you
wonder about all the time and money I could have saved?
Hey Mike 1 & Mike 2:
You guys should know, you always get what you pay for!
LOL The only thing I could add to this thread is that when
ur motor goes south, go wth a Baldor as a replacement.
Grangers, etc… price it out, but in the long run, quality parts
will give u the best service life. Looking forward to seein’
ya both on Main St. to celebrate the death of the Golden Bear!
Glad to see that all is well with u Mikey after the rads…
Best always guys…

Also, Mike;
I prefer the Senco Finish Pro & the Cambell/haus
NB0030 finish nailer for cabinet work. The Senco
drives really straight with no wandering & th NB can
leave only a little scar with the thinnest ply. Just my
2C!!

Howzit boardman, My Senco is the Finishpro 41XP and I just love the way it works. Good story: I was at HD one day and just happened to check their clearance shelves and there were 2 Porter Cable nail guns, 1 was a brad nailer and the other a stapler and they were marked at $5.00 each. Thought that couldn't be right but grabbed them anyways since $5.00 apiece was to good to pass up even if they were Porter Cables. Well as I was paying for them I asked the cashier if I could bring them back if they didn't work ( stiil leery about the price), well this other HD worker steps up and tells me that a guy came in and wanted a Porter Cable compressor and a nail gun and all they had was the combo kit with the compressor and 3 nailers and only the display one. So the guy buys the compressor and grabs 1 of the guns. They waited 45 days for him to come back to get the other 2 guns and he never did so $5.00 was all they could sell them for since basically they were already bought and paid for by the guy. I am not a big fan of Porter Cable nail guns but these 2 have come in handy a few times and they work just fine. I have a big Senco compressor and the little 1 for small jobs and love them both. Aloha,Kokua

LOL Yeah, u couldn’t go wrong at those
prices!! The used tool shops here on the mainland
have all gone EBAY! no good deals anywhere…
Really stoked to hear from u, keep up the good fight!
a double cheeseburger is but a wish away!

Howzit boardman, A wish and a set of teeth away, but my dentist starts working on getting me dentures at the end of this month so I can't wait and am still trying to figure out what I want to eat for my first meal that I can chew. Aloha,Kokua
2 Porter Cable nail guns, 1 was a brad nailer and the other a staple
Porter Cable nail guns are good actually I have a 16 guage angle nailer for crown moulding and a Staple gun for over 10 years and they keep on ticking. Keep them oiled and they last a long time. Again you score sounds like good Karma!
