But this is the pattern used on a lot of kimonos and handkerchiefs etc.
I painted it free hand with acrylic paint and a japanese style brush.

ka-mon is a mark that represent a family.
the pattern I used is not a kamon it’s just a common japanese design.

there is always surf in New Zealand as far as i can tell 
but really nice and hollow overhead waves today.sandbanks are good where i live at the moment
