Greg I have heard that what you said about sytems resore works.I sometimes need to use it.If I do what you said and disable sytems restore would I have the option of using it again at a later date if needed.?I am a computer idiot.THanks RB

hi cleanines, you can activate “system restore” at any time and create new restore points. but do not rely on it, in times of trouble it is the first thing that does not work. you are much better off with a ghosting program, ghost the entire harddrive on dvd’s or a second harddrive every 2 weeks and you and your data is much safer.
after years of learning the hard way I now use the internet with my Apple or with Linux and I could (if I wanted) even watch the girls on the net (and the pics on Swaylocks).
as mentioned before, there are several Linux distributions out there which can be run right off the CD without need to be installed on your harddrive and without any changes to your windows system. these give you very good protection when surfing the net and are free to download. found two in a hurry, one is called MORPHIX and the other one KNOPPIX. have a look on the net, they are easy to find and easy to use.
Yo Miki.I tried the thing with sytems restore but it came back anyway.I hate to turn off systems restore because it fixes my DSL modem when we get power outages and other things.I find it quite handy because I am a computer idiot and it fixes stupid errors I make.I heard somewhere that coolsearch can be buried in Media PLayer and maybe you can disable that??It is a pain.I have to use “csshredder” all of the time.I do get some pleasure out of wiping it out though. Thanks for all the help anyway you guys.
Howzit Mr. Clean, I'm trying to get a grip on your problem, have you done a search for cool web on your computer. If not run one and it should find where the thing is, then you can manually remove it. I remember a while back that program tried to download its self on my computer but I caught it a stopped it in it's tracks. Ran a search for it the other day and it's not on my computer. You could also call your computer tech support and see if they can help. good luck. Aloha, Kokua
