well now i am thinking ahead to after i complete my thruster to quad conversion
the only non plastic fins i have are the crv’s, i am not sure if they could work as a quad setup with two more side fins.
or is there any quad setups that i could just buy all together? i was thinking of the canard quad setup but they are a bit expensive.
so any help would be appreciated on what you think i should do.
also the board i am converting is a 6’x 19.8x 2.4 swallow tail, i am 5’11 140lb
thanks
hi again surf !
[can’t escape me , can you ??? hahahahahhh !!!]
here’s something you will hear a lot of here …“search the archives , mate” …
it’s all there .
‘Oldy ’ , in particular , did a thread called , I think , "quad fin templates’ …should be helpful .
basically , though …see the box called “advanced search” , to the left of the forum page ?
Well , just click on that , type in whatever [eg: quad fin setup/s] , and read away to your heart’s and mind’s delight !
cheers
ben
[I do , of course , have a couple of fcs fins , too !] …making your own is so much [?more?] fun , because you can make ANYTHING !!! ] and yes , there are threads on THAT , to [I have time on my hands , sometimes , so why not get a camera and document this stuff , I figured ! if it helps someone , then that’s good ! ]
…you’re welcome mate , glad to have helped !
ben
ok i checked those posts and they still don’t answer my question fully…
as of now the setup i will be using is the curved crv’s in front but now i’m wondering if i should just order a set of single foiled longboard sidebites or order two small trailing fins so it could be double foiled. what would the difference in feel be between the two. both are fiberglass. or should save $20 and get the new glass flex FCS gl’s
the prices and sizes are both the same from rainbow
surprise yourself . Make a few pairs of whatever you want .
…it’s fun ! [and cheaper , too]
cheers
