Gene,
That is such a cool look! Very retro 1960’s, but original at the same time. You knocked that one out of the park!
If I can ask, and I understand if you prefer not to say, is the grey done in hot coat tint, and are the red shapes a cloth, or resin only. Again, I am in awe!
…hello Gene, your boards look very well done, handcrafted and you have a nice arty touch that is very unique.
I m not into these types of boards and heavyness but I really appreciate your boards and your constant search on that niche.
Good luck with the show.
–hello Everysurfer, those look like rice paper.
Thanks Reverb. Mark, the resin panels are grey glossing resin applied after sanding and then those are glossed over. Red stripe is ricepaper cutouts right on the sealed blank then the deeper chopsticks are transparent resin on top of the sanded hc to give some dimension
Good luck on your show Gene. That board is understated elegance.
wish I could make it, your boards are awe-inspiring… but had prior plans… maybe next time. Good luck Gene (not that you need it).
Aloha Gene,
I always enjoy looking at your latest creations. A nice balance of old school and new school.
bitchin deal.
…ambrose…
The show was fun with a great turn-out. Boards are on display until May 0th so stop and check it out if you have the chance. Great catching up with Herb.
Who do I have to sleep with to get one of your boards?
No seriously. they are he most awesome artworks. Is that orangy brown one still available? What’s the the process of potentially getting that puppy? Send me a message Gene if you want to discuss details.
