I was looking into getting a cork deck, after Huie had made me a couple. Cork is kinder on my ribs and shoulders.
If not vacuum bagged, is cork usually sealed or just glued onto the deck?
Thanks
Bob

Just glue on deck , I use epoxy resin .
Cork doesn’t absorb water.
Should be easier on your chest and get no wax benefit without sealing.
EVA deck pad of the right density and thickness might be easier still on your chest/ribs.
I’ve added cork full-deck “traction pads” to a bunch of boards.
3M 90 spray adhesive is what I prefer
cut the cork to shape
Spray it at 4 different angles with the 3M 90 adhesive so every nook and cranny is sprayed and an extra shot around the edges
flip cork onto board and press it down
use rolling pin to press every square inch REALLY WELL especially the edges
pau
make sure you prepped the board really well. Removed ALL wax. I do final prep with acetone.
also, make sure you do the application when the weather is coolish
the only deck I had peel up in spots was one that I applied in 90+ Fahrenheit weather and the glue was kicking before I fully got it pressed down
Thanks all for the useful tips, much appreciated.
