Cracks in epoxy over carbon reinforced eps board

Hi, picked up Alone Captain eps board with carbon reinforced rails. I cant tell if the small cracks on the rails have penetrated the glass. Whats the best way to sort out these cracks? Its my first eps board and know last thing you want is water getting in. They not big enough to cut out and dont wantbto damage the carbon. Got resin but weather not great for curing here so i make my fins under kitchen counter by radiator.

Suck on it with your mouth. Sounds stupid but you’ll know immediately if the cracks are through to the foam.

Thanks mako you mean when wet or dry . The boards dry and think carbon is intsct

Whenever…doesn’t matter. With an eps board if you have cracks to the foam you won’t be able to create suction. Judging by your picture I think its safe to say that needs fixed.

Ok Mako i get what you mean when i give it a good suck : i can hear quiet click

So not wanting to damage carbon can i sand back to carbon and 2x layer glass

That’s what I would do, but I’m an amateur.

Thanks Tom, same here when it comes to ding repairs especially EPS with carbon

Ok for anyone interested this is how to do it
