Creating Templates/Herb Spitzer

Herb - I heard you mention in an earlier post about using a fishing pole to help create templates. I was wondering how this can be done when most of the fishing poles I have seen are much smaller then the desired length of the board. When moving the fishing pole forward or backwards I would think that it would effect the final outline you are tracing. What am I missing?? Thanks, Brandon

GOOD LUCK,Herb
