OK, I opened up several pinholes with an 1/8" ball file, just to the glass not through, and squeegeed in some gloss coat. came back after it cured and sanded them only to find a new/same pinhole that goes all the way down like the first. this happened on all of them. what am I doing wrong? why is this happening? I even tried with a small amount of cab-o-sil in the resin, same results.

You should put a peice of tape over the hole once you put the resin in it to hold the resin in until it sets.

You might try this…take a popsicle stick and drip a bead of resin into the hole…the resin will be a little higher…I use straight lam resin with no wax and cover the hole with a little piece of waxpaper. The wax paper creates a vuccum and makes the resin sandable. However if you want to use gloss resin it will aslo work.
