Danny Brawner Contact & Vintage Advice...

Just picked up a 1965-66? Jacobs Pig and am looking to track down Danny and have him take a look regarding repairs or restore options, anyone have a contact number or address? Also, the board was partially painted (rail panels-not spray paint) flakes easily…I can see the original cream yellow beneath and am considering removal so I can better see what I’ve got…any suggestions on safely removing the add -on paint? And finally, the board has a serial number on the tail block…what is the best way to research an accurate production date, shaper etc.?

Thanks for any and all help/suggestions.

My wife has an old Pacific Homes, redwood balsa board. It was her fathers, who was a founding member of The Santa Cruz Surf Club. He is long gone, but his board remains. We read an article in our local paper about a board restoration, done by Danny Brawner. I’d like to get a contact number or Email, and see if he would be interested in seeing the project. Thanks for any help.

I purchased this board in 1998 from Longboard Grotto. I was told it was Fred Hemmings personal board and that you restored the board.

Can you check out the attached pictures and verify? Do you recall what the board looked like before you restored it?

I understand it was a long time ago but hopefully you can help me out.

Thanks so much for your time.

Just so happened, coming back over the Pali Hwy from south shore this morning, I see a guy on the town bound side with a political sign waving at the traffic. It was Fred Hemmings…standing by himself with no one else around…He is trying to re-capture the Hawaii State Senate seat he occupied from 2000-2010…
