Dewey Weber DNT Series Surfboard

I just came across a Weber DNT Series Surfboard. Does anyone know who shaped them? I can find almost nothing about this model on the internet. Sure would appreciate any info you may have to share.

Most people on here will probably ask for some pictures of the board.

I appreciate your comment. There is some writing on the stringer but it’s delammed and I can’t make it out.

Modern style fin box

The DNT series was early 70s and the letters stand for Dewey, Nat, and Tabeling. At the time, Nat Young and Mike Tabeling were Weber’s top ‘design consultants’. A few years earlier, they would have been called team members but teams weren’t cool any more. Wild guess… the board is 6 foot or less? The finbox tells me it’s a 1972 build. Weber was using the horrible Guidance fin system in '71.

The shaper could have been any of a half dozen guys working at Weber’s. Chances of finding out who it was are pretty much zero.

Very good info on the “DNT” and fin box.   Knew I had heard the meaning on the initials somewhere over the years.  The finbox puts it exactly in the time frame you spoke of.
