Did futures stop making the K2 keels?

I only see the K1 and the Rasta Sea Shepard advertised.

I seem to remember someone telling me that their overseas supplier was having trouble getting the fins out. Don’t quote me though I just got over the flu and am afraid I’ve lost some valuable brain cells.

The K-2 was discontinued last year. Future Fins is bringing them back March 09 in two different styles, fiberglass and wood. We will be looking the samples in the next couple of days. Hopefully we can get some pics to post here.

Yeah… those are mine. If they are discontinued, I don’t want to get rid of mine. So will they be the same template in wood? If so, I’d rather have a pair of those, because the pair I have seem a lot heavier than I would prefer. I like the template, but I’d like to find some that are lighter. I suppose I could just make some out of marine ply baltic birch, but, I haven’t had the time to make any more fins lately.

Will they also offer that same fin? What is your opinion on the weight? Mine are really fun, but they seem too heavy on the tail.
