Difficulties with glassing fins

Hi there!

I’m almost done with my retro fish, fins are on place, I did put two lays of fiber glass on each side of the two fins, but it seems that the resin is very thin (I can feel the fiber by touching the fins), and I was wondering if I need to do another lay of Hot coat on the fins in order to be able to sand them after?

I’m running out of resin, I’ve got Taupo Gloss, would it work if I add some wax to it?

I think you can sand as is, but it’s tough for me to tell how dry the glass up the sides of the fins actually is from your description. A light sanding and another coat of resin couldn’t hurt.
