dimensions.

Guys what are the popular or common dimensions for your run of the mill shorty.

What are the pro’s normal (all rounders dimensions)

what are your all rounders dimensions

The average stock shorty on the shelf must be the hardest thing to nut out.

longboards to easy. but on a shorty 1/4 of an inch out and it will sit in a shop for a year or two.

Hey Pandanus,

we make boards for quite a few pros in our area. They range from 5’10" x18" x 2-1/8" for the Mexican Champ (140 lbs), to 6’2" x 18-1/2" x 2-1/4" for a couple of heavier WQS surfers (175 lbs). Round tails seem popular right now, but they all get their fair share of squash tails for grovelling…

…Joe and I both shape and ride the same dimension range: 6’1" x 18-3/8" x 2-1/4(-), 2-3/16". He’s 160 and I’m 165 lbs.

Customers who are high-performance/core surfers also get this same range.

Got to admit, it’s not for everybody, but this is our focus.

HTH,

Hey Chipfish61,

took a while to get the req’d photos; we’re sooooo busy in the Spring/Summer. The board shown is going to a surfer who just got 2nd for the National Title in his division in an organization we have called NSSA. 6’2" x18-1/4" x 2-1/4" squash (pod). He’s 5’11" 170 lbs, great power surfer, lots of different airs. The photo of the fins being set-up shows some Pro/Pro-Am surfers. Almost all are at 11" up, 1-1/8 in from rail, pointed about 2" off the nose, with center fin about 3-1/8 to 3-3/8 depending upon rocker and rider. Fins come from Queensland by SOAR. Best glassed-on fin available with superior flex response. Tough to source in the U.S. but available.

I can answer basic Q’s but some be too complex to accurately answer.

Thanks,

George

thanks a lot , George !!

that is some sick deep double concave [for a thin thruster , anyway!] you got there …how about making him a three fin bonzer , and a five fin bonzer like that , eh ?

cheers !
