I have a friend with a very special and highly sentimental board he brought me for repair. I’m not comfortable working on it and need a referral for a super good ding repair guy. Board is really super clean, but has one rail ding and some rail shatters. Customer wants repairs to be as invisible as possible. Board will be presented back to his father as a special gift. Clear board without yellowing. Board is in north Orange County, Ca.

…if the board is too white and part of the repair is to fill a hole, is not possible that the repair comes somewhat invisible; however, if it s not so white or not filling could be possible, but in a few months of Sun action, all the area will show.

You didn’t say what kind of board it is. If it’s a modern short/longboard, take it to Clearwater in Costa Mesa. Tell Ray (the owner) exactly what you want and you will get it done that way. If it’s an antique longboard, there’s a guy that Harbour & the old time Huntington shapers recommend for restorations. I have his card but I’m not in the office right now. PM me if you need it.
