Ding Repair With "Future" on the Board

Aloha,I have a poly. board that has a small ding in the bottom . I poked it with an eye bold on the surf rack. Anyhow it also has plenty of “Future” acrylic coat on the bottom . Do I need to get it off near the ding before repairing it? How? I don’t want to use acetone ? Was thinking of just sanding it off in the area around the repair… Thanks…

Try this Speed Skag, Mask off a small amount of the surrounding area. With a drill bit slightly larger than the hole clean it out. Take a little piece of foam and push it in the hole and make sure it’s at about the same level as the existing foam. Feather away the hot coat and and get into the glass weave with some 80 grit paper. Wet out couple of pieces of 4oz with sanding resin and put a hot coat on while it starts to go off. After it cures rough out the level with 80 grit, Finish with 220 and the wet dry with 400 & 600. Put on a little acrylic sealer and go surfing. Good Surfin’, Rich
