I just shaped my first Hull. It's a nice 6'4" with a mild displacement bottom, somewhat knifey rails and a foiled-out node and tail. Problem is I am kinda in the air as to the propper fin placement. I know that the center box is usually place farther foreward than usuall and that the sidebitters are usually about even with the front of the center fin box. But are the sidebiters placed off the rail like normal thruster fins? I kinda doubt it. Some measurements would be AWESOME. I mostly have shaped thrusters so I'm kinda in the dark here. Thanks everyone!
fin box 9" from the tail, use a 10" box. i like my sidebites around 3/4 of the way up the box, and 1 1/8" off the rail, but i use very small fins, usually around 2 1/2" tall, so adjust that for the size fins you’re using!
Should have done a search first. Found alot of info.
Mr. Lovelace I presume?
thats what my parents call me, yep!
well…without the ‘mister’ part, and a Ryan in front of the Lovelace, then minus the last part and you got it!
