Ok I did the research in the archives. Tomorow I’m taking my egg into the glassers . It’s 6’3" by 21by 2 3/4 flat rocker with slight v through the tail. According to the archive posts it sounds like I should start the fin box at least six inches from the tail and go for longest fin box to make forward adjustments. Since this is my first single fin I’m going for the 8" fin and will be at the mercy of whatever fin foam ez carries. It sounds like the 7 inch isn’t long enough. If you have any last advice please post before ten am tomorrow thanks

If you have any last advice > please post before ten am tomorrow thanks>>>>>>>>It depends on surface area,rake(or lack of rake)base length,and height of the fin.I would go with a either a rake with low area,say 8-9" tall or a fuller fin at 7.5-8.5".A 7" Will work,but it will be a little squirrilly in bigger waves.Herb.
dont get the fin at foam ez. go to Bashams on los molinos in san clemente. they have the joel tudor fins which are used on all of his egg boards… so instead of getting stuck with whatever foam ez has left, get something that is functional for the type of board you made. -steve
