Double ender egg 7'10"

Single fin at the narrow end. Twinzer on the fatter end. Slight chine pinched rails. 2" rocker.

Any obvious mistakes or missed opportunities?

I’m no expert so take this with a grain of salt, but that looks like an awfully flat rocker to me.

I have never made a surfboard with fin boxes at both ends, nor even seen one in person, so I have nothing else to add. Will be interested to see a progressive build thread on this, complete with ride report. Curious to know if it can really work!

I made one of these, it’s 8’ and I use it often, but mostly as a single fin. The single fin side has double concaves in the last 18" and twin side is flat. I basically made a board with 2 tails, and they have about 2 to 2.5 inches of rocker. The twin side has a tiny bit more than the single. Hard edge tucked under rails on the whole board.

Nice shape

Would you go with those rocker numbers again Sharkcountry? And would you go a bit further from the tail with the twin fin placements next time?

The rockers are OK for a tail, but low for a nose. I think 2.5" is fine, but I have other boards with very little rocker, one is only 2" in the nose, and 1.5" in the tail.
I usually only use this board on smaller days where I don’t have to worry about steep drops. It paddles well with the low rocker, but I have to take off at an angle if the wave is steep. I think this concept works much better for shorter boards.
I think I would pull the twin side in a bit more, make it closer to the shape of the single side, but just have the wide point offset. I found the twin side very loose, but I used normal single fins about 7", not twins or keels. I use a 9" GG 4A in the single fin side.
I like the way the board glides when I stand about a foot from the nose trimming along on smaller waves.
I might turn a 7’ 6" board I have with 3" rocker nose and tail into one of these by adding some filler on the nose rails to change the soft edge to a hard edge. It’s already a 2 + 1, so I would make the nose side a single fin.
A friend sent me this clip of me riding the board.
