What’s the best way to shape the double-wings using my regular fish template?
Draw first the regular outline of the fish.
Draw your fin placement lines (perpendicular lines to the stringer at the right distance from tail = almost 13 to 14cm and almost 27 to 28cm)
Then, draw dots:
-
First wing first =>front fin line: 1cm inside and back fin line: 1.5cm inside.
Draw the template betwin those points.
-
Then, second wing => back fin line: 1cm inside and tail line: 1.5cm inside.
Draw the template betwin those points.
Of course, you may have to adjust those numbers according to what your eyes can admit.
And off course, it’s an easy way to go but not absolutely exact…
Still, it’s efficient enough
Those new lines give the outline, you still have to draw the wings shape, mak them bumps or so…
