I don’t think you would get an accurate route. The tool is too tall with too small a base. Some use a laminate trimmer, most use a router. for fin boxes/ inserts. Leash plug and FCS plugs are forstener bit/ hole saw combinations.
I have used it for long center fin boxes. Not the best tool because the cutting head is so small. If that’s all you have, you can make it work. Once you get a real router, even if it’s a a small trim router, you will see how foolish it is to use the dremel.
I wish I had a plunge router the size of the smaller trim routers.
I have a dremel for fiddly tidying up in general, and I have the router base, but I’ve found the machine too small for many jobs. I imagine you would get away with it for the odd legrope plug hole in foam, but I’d see risk in trying to mow across stringers with it for a centre mounted plug.
A laminex trimmer, with 1/4in shank is my tool of choice for routing.

So many other things work better. I used to grind laps with a Dremel and a sanding barrel. Try that without a divit. Then I saw a laminator in a glass shop using a right angle die grinder. Funny. I learned to use the Dremel for laps technique from a pretty good glasser. I'd never go back to it, although I was damned good at it. Lowel
