Hi, Ive been following Sways for a while now and thought its about time i posted some of my own work.
Here a two handplanes, shaped from locally found dirftwood. Both have a single concave in the rear third and a bulbed handle for better grip.
The first one is finished in oil and wax and the second in resin......the later i will use from now on.
Not many (if any!) bodysurfs around here (North East England), can't see why....I love it, maybe its the cold?
Anyway hope you like them,
Matt

Sweet. I am not waterman enough to know how they are used. Flippers and swim it out? One hand stretched out? Any video?

I LOVE the driftwood angle. classy.
Greg, check Korduroy.tv for a video tutorial on a cheap build. Everyone should have some fins and a handboard/gun around…such a blast in even meager surf.
there's a few things I want in my quiver and this is one of them, sometimes the waves are no good for any surfboards but fun for these...the driftwood angle is all time....

When I was in H.S., the woodshop teacher wouldnt even assign a grade to something like that.
Same went for cutting out a skateboard or a halloween tombstone out of plywood.
man up, try making a surfboard.
Thanks everyone for the positive comments
Otis: I appreciate your ignorance, thank you for your input

Its alright, hope you get over it.
BTW and FYI, your models exhibit an excessive amt. of outline curve not seen in all the predominant models redwings, brownfish, etal.
Except the plastic Hayes which has a rather huge concave bottom.
Good luck.
