It was a 4.5 foot log 10" diameter which I had cut into 10mm/3/8" thick planks. board is just over 1" thick. single ply but epoxy/glassed inner

Its no big thing - its essentially a barrel which is glued to the bottom and against the stringer. I needed to make a wood one as the plastic plugs don’t guite look right on a wood board IMO.
