egg of the day

I tried to average all the comments posted during the past 6 months, and added a tiny dose from the Boss surfboards website, to come up with a measured drawing of the egg of the day. It is almost too ugly to make though. comments appreciated.

Hey SOUP, Ugly don’t count! Hmmmm. It just might work. If you don’t build it, I will. Clark Catalog 7’3"A or 7’4"R. Which would you use?

remember the old cliche:

CAMEL: a horse designed by a committee…

Classic!!! It’s a Camel Nugget (a turd by any other name)…Looks like my first S-deck!

It looks like the Dr. Seuss Model out of the 2004 Doc Johnson adult toys and what not catalog…bateries not included. Might be the next best thing since the surf fin.

Build it and they will come?

Don’t try to big a wave on that one!

Mostly, boards with WP’s behind 6" of center and more don’t work too well, or work weird.

Go for it, you might have the next wierd penquin.

what did you do, copy a mummy bag for a template?

Most of the time we do pretty normal stuff so I would say that thing is weird but you should see what we are glassing in my factory right now. Seeing would be believing. I have a digital camera but it takes such high-res shots that I don’t think they will “fit” the way Doc does them. Anyways one of the boards (Topper shaped it) has the wide point (20") about 8" up from the tail. It looks like one of those “candy corns” or a spearhead or something. I wish you could see this thing; he said he had a vivid dream then spent the next day mowing a styro blank. The other board a customer made me do; he had to make a model of it, it’s about 5" thick in the nose and about 1" thick in the middle with big blocky rails, and, well, you guys would have to see it…

You should build the thing. At the very least it would be therapeutic and you never know, they may be winning World Titles on it next year, then we’ll all be riding one…

actually not too bad.drop the nose rocker a bit, make the nos a bit more round and you may have something there!

check it
