Environmental friendly Topcoat

Hi,

I´m building a board with lots of renewable materials (flax, eco-epoxy, wood, recycled sandwich core).

As the eco-epoxy isn´t as hard as the best surf epoxies it can´t be polished to a mirror shine.

Does anyone have experience or ideas with an “eco topcoat”, that could be well polished?

Thanks a lot

Ah, the quest for cosmetics - isn’t the concept of eco friendly that you be willing to sacrifice appearances in the quest for natural solutions?

You are totally right, its not the real way.
But it’s allways not easy to argue with people when it comes to eco topics.
Therefore I’m looking to find stuff that needs no change of peoples behaviour.

Hi,

If u go really fine sanding (800-1000-2000  grit) + polish u should have something quite shiny.

Here’s the detailed post u should read:

If it does’nt shine enought yet, u can apply some bee or bee/carnauba wax… It’s natural, it smells good and it’s rly shiny ! U can do your own easily if you want to.

Gd luck…
